Well, aren't those just the cutest rice crispy treat hearts you ever did see? I can never have just one rice crispy treat and when they are dipped in chocolate...Lord, help me. I mean, every dessert becomes that much more fantastic when chocolate is involved. I'm sharing this easy and adorable Valentine's Day treat over at Ask Anna today. I used gluten free crisp rice cereal and dairy free butter, but you can certainly use regular butter. Then I dipped the hearts in semi-sweet chocolate and ... read more

February 5, 2014 by Sarah 19 Comments

Another Gluten and Allergen Free Expo has come and gone...and we had a blast! I had the privilege of being on the blogger team again this year at the GFAF Expo in San Francisco. I got to bring my husband with me too! It was a great weekend getaway for us and we stuffed ourselves with gluten free goodies. So. many. samples. Seriously. It's no joke when I tell you we can home with 4 over-the-top filled bags. Crazy. Don't worry...I'll be giving away a swag bag to one of you! I always feel so ... read more

recipes from my gluten-free kitchen

January 29, 2014 by Sarah 1 Comment

I'm so honored to be featured on Sarah Bakes Gluten Free Treats today. I'm a big fan of Sarah's blog, and envy her cake decorating skills, with my favorite being her Mocha Layer Cake! Sarah and I haven't had the opportunity to meet in person yet, but I feel like we are kindred spirits already. We have so much in common, from our main loves (Jesus, hubby and 2 kids), things we enjoy (desserts, baking, blogging), and she lives just an hour or so away from where I was born and spend the first 19 ... read more

gluten free chocolate coconut granola

January 21, 2014 by Sarah 1 Comment

I'm not a big cereal eater, but I do love a good granola. Especially homemade granola. It's great for a quick breakfast or for a healthy snack. I like to make a batch and package it in little baggies to take with me while I'm running my errands. My son, Kaden, is crazy about granola so I always have to bring some for him too! I got a little adventurous this week and made my first batch of chocolate granola. I wasn't quite sure how it was going to work, just adding the cocoa powder, but I was ... read more

The holidays are over and that means...time for healthy snacks and treats! Cut down on the sugar and trim back those extra calories.
