guest post…homemade fruit snacks

April 10, 2014 by Sarah 1 Comment

I've got a super easy, super fun recipe over at Ask Anna today. Homemade fruit snacks! Yes, homemade. From scratch. Nothing artificial or processed in these little guys. Just fresh fruit, a little fruit juice, a splash of maple syrup for sweetness and unflavored gelatin. I only use the good stuff. Gelatin from grass-fed cows and it's 100% protein. These fruit snacks are simply 100% delicious! With Easter coming, this would be a great treat to make for your kids. No added refined sugars and no ... read more

guest post…5 gluten free treats, perfect for easter!

April 8, 2014 by Sarah 1 Comment

I love meeting fellow bloggers, especially mom's who are taking care of their family, all while sharing their heart and passion through their blog. Last year I was introduced to Amy of MomAdvice, shortly after her life drastically changed when she discovered gluten was the culprit of her health problems. Oh man, I so knew what she was going through. I was grateful for our connection and was only hoping to be a ray of sunshine in such a huge transition! Amy loves Jesus and truly has a heart of ... read more

The month of April is here and that means Easter is right around the corner! A holiday to gather with family and friends, hunt for Easter eggs and enjoy a delicious meal together. There is usually baskets of candy involved too (for the kids and adults). There are so many fun treats that you can make for Easter. You could go with raspberry hand pies, carrot zucchini cake or frosted sugar cookies. You could also go the chocolate route, which is always a good idea. Always. Bob's Red Mill ... read more

gluten free banana nut granola

March 29, 2014 by Sarah 1 Comment

Granola for breakfast. Granola for a snack. I could eat granola all day long! I love the crunch from the toasted nuts and the texture from the chewy rolled oats. It's just a pure, simple snack that anybody can make. No excuses, people. Gluten free granola is a total no brainer. The smell of this gluten free banana nut granola baking in your oven, is pretty much like the smell of freshly baked banana bread. We all know it...heaven. Ripe bananas, pure maple syrup, brown sugar, walnuts. A flavor ... read more

guest post…gluten free vegan chocolate banana swirl muffins

March 25, 2014 by Sarah 3 Comments

When I think of chocolate for breakfast, I get super excited! Then I think of creative ways to add chocolate to my muffins (my favorite breakfast treat). Maybe adding a little cocoa powder, maybe a few chocolate chips mixed in the batter, or maybe a simple chocolate glaze. It's pretty much like eating a cupcake for breakfast, which I'm totally fine with. All things in moderation, my friends. It's March Muffin Madness over at Gluten Free Easily! So many beautiful gluten free muffins ... read more

March 21, 2014 by Sarah 4 Comments

No matter what time of the month it is, I always crave chocolate. Even if it's just a piece of dark chocolate from my stash in the fridge. Chocolate will forever be a part of my life. I say, "chocolate is one of the many blessings from God, one that should be enjoyed to it's fullest!" I'm here to tell you that not every chocolate treat has to be sinful. There are plenty of healthy options to get that antioxidant-rich chocolate into your diet. Take this dairy free chocolate chia seed pudding for ... read more

gluten free vegan mint chocolate mini cheesecakes

March 14, 2014 by Sarah 7 Comments

When it comes to celebrating St. Patrick's Day, it's all about the green desserts! You could use the standard green food coloring and make just about any dessert green. I'm not a huge fan of using food coloring, if I don't have to. Some kids really have to avoid it, but really we all should. Nothing artificial can be good for these bodies that God gave to us. See those teeny tiny mint chocolate mini cheesecakes? They are only green because I snuck in a handful of spinach in the blender. Get ... read more

gluten free vegan everyday bread

March 11, 2014 by Sarah 58 Comments

One of my fondest memories growing up was the smell of my mom's homemade bread. She baked bread all the time and the smell was intoxicating. Is there anything sweeter than the smell of a loaf of yeast bread, baking in the oven? We could never wait until it was cooled off to take a bite either. Warm, golden bread. Slathered with butter. Nothing more simple, yet nothing more satisfying. In our house, as much as we all love bread, we just don't eat it nearly as much. We've been gluten free for ... read more

gluten free vegan apple cinnamon coffee cake

I love lazy mornings with my family. There really isn't anything better. They don't happen often, with school and work schedules. My husband works on Saturdays too. Not cool, but we're used to it. He does have Sundays off. Sunday mornings can also be a bit busy though, with getting ready for church. Kevin is usually playing on the worship team (he plays bass) or I'm teaching the 4-6 year olds class. So when we do get a morning at home, all of us together, with nowhere to go...I savor every ... read more
