It is such a joy to have Meg from Beard and Bonnet on Sarah Bakes Gluten Free today. Welcome, Meg! You might remember seeing her post from the 2012 Gluten Free All Stars, when she gave us all a glimpse into her beautiful site. Meg has a gorgeous food blog and I seriously drool over all of her gorgeous recipes. She’s got a little something for everyone and is not shy when it comes to mixing up bold, amazing flavors and ingredients. After checking out Meg’s recipes, be sure to head on over to Beard and Bonnet for even more yummy gluten free and vegetarian goodies!

Hello Sarah Bakes Gluten Free Treats readers, my name is Meg and I write a little gluten free, vegetarian blog called Beard and Bonnet. I am so honored that Sarah asked me to share some of my favorite recipes here with you today!

I have been cooking and eating vegetarian dishes for over 7 years, but it wasn’t until our son was born with a gluten intolerance 2 1/2 years ago that we delved into the world of gluten free cooking in our home. My husband, Todd and I are artists and designers by trade and since we share design ideas with clients every day, sharing the food that helped to heal our family was a natural transition for us.

Here are a few of my reader’s favorite recipes from B & B, I hope that you enjoy them as well and will come and visit us!

Peanut Butter Cookies

Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies

Hands down, this is my most popular post EVER! It’s funny because I made these cookies on a whim when we lived in Atlanta as a distraction for my kids from the constant tornado warnings one afternoon. They are super easy, have only 5 ingredients and never last long in my kitchen. Don’t have any marshmallow fluff? It’s OK, spread your favorite jam in between two of these delectable cookies and go to town!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Raw Bars

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Raw Bars

I have a thing for cookie dough! Like a really unhealthy, can’t help myself type of thing. So, I created this chocolate chip cookie dough raw bar recipe and my chocolate chip cookie dough bites to give me a healthy alternative to digging into the batter bowl. Turns out, my readers are cookie dough fanatics too, are you?

Ginger Quinoa Granola

Ginger Quinoa Granola

I adore granola! This particular recipe is filled with all sorts of good for you ingredients including quinoa, ginger, and almonds. I love the way the quinoa crunches when you bite into it once it’s baked. Pure breakfast magic!

Gluten-Free" Cheez- it" Crackers

Gluten-Free” Cheez- it” Crackers

As a kid Cheez-it’s were my favorite savory snack. Not wanting my kids to miss out on the joy those little cheesy crackers brought me, I made this version for my kids. The thinner you make the dough before baking the crispier these little snack crackers get in the oven.

Pumpkin Loaf

Pumpkin Loaf

Ahhh…pumpkin loaf! I adore fall and all of the produce that it brings. This gluten-free, vegan quick bread is made with one of my favorite gluten-free flours, Teff. One bite any you will agree that this bread really encompasses all the best flavors that fall has to offer.

I hope to see you over on Beard and Bonnet soon! Feel free to leave a comment and say hello. You can also find me on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram.
