pumpkin roundup from tasty yummies!

November 4, 2013 by Sarah 1 Comment

Pumpkin season is in full swing and I don’t know about you guys, but I will take it any which way you’ll give it to me. Wait, pumpkin isn’t a season? Well it should be. I have never met a pumpkin dish I didn’t like. Is it wrong that I could seriously have pumpkin at every meal as long as it’s in season?
Hi, my name is Beth and I am the yoga-obsessed clean-eating blogger behind Tasty Yummies, which I started almost 4 years ago. I have been 100% gluten-free, since discovering I had a severe intolerance nearly 9 years ago, additionally I have cleaned up my diet, cut out all processed foods and most dairy and in the process I lost over 30 pounds . All of the recipes I share on my website are gluten-free, clean and seasonal, many are dairy-free and vegan, too. I consider myself to be a “conscientious omnivore”, though most of what I eat are naturally vegan foods.

Sarah invited me to share a few of my favorite gluten-free pumpkin recipes with you today – I hope you like them. All four of these recipes are vegan, too. So no dairy or eggs. Please feel free to peruse the Tasty Yummies archives where you will find plenty more gluten-free pumpkin recipes, too.

You can also check out Sarah’s pumpkin recipe roundup over on my site!

Vegan Pumpkin “Cheesecake” Pops

These delicious treats require no baking, they are full of delicious seasonal flavor and you will fool just about anyone into thinking there’s actually dairy in there. Plus, aren’t all desserts, heck all food, better when served on a stick?

Pumpkin Hummus

You thought I was kidding about adding pumpkin anywhere I can right now. I wasn’t. I literally think it should be in or on everything. Hummus is one of my favorite savory dishes to add pumpkin to. The pumpkin flavor is subtle, but it’s there and it’s delicious, plus the beautiful hue it gives the hummus is so nice. I just made this for a fall potluch we hosted at our place last week and it was a hit. Everyone loved it.

Pumpkin Gingerbread Muffins

with Dried Cranberries

These beauties are from a bit further back in the Tasty Yummies archives, but they are one of my all time favorites.  As we head into the holiday season, these muffins are a great way to celebrate all of the goodness of both seasons. The smell from the oven, while these are baking, will certainly get you into the holiday spirit, no matter what time of year it is.

Grain-free Pumpkin Pie Mini Tarts

This is one of my most popular recipes, ever. These grain-free mini-tarts are always a hit with everyone, vegan, gluten-free or not. I love serving these to any crowd of people, no one has ever been disappointed. These are just like the traditional pumpkin pie you’ve always known, but you can enjoy one of these totally guilt-free.
