recipes from my gluten-free kitchen

January 29, 2014 by Sarah 1 Comment

I’m so honored to be featured on Sarah Bakes Gluten Free Treats today. I’m a big fan of Sarah’s blog, and envy her cake decorating skills, with my favorite being her Mocha Layer Cake!

Sarah and I haven’t had the opportunity to meet in person yet, but I feel like we are kindred spirits already. We have so much in common, from our main loves (Jesus, hubby and 2 kids), things we enjoy (desserts, baking, blogging), and she lives just an hour or so away from where I was born and spend the first 19 years of my life in Northern California. I also began my gluten-free journey at the same time as Sarah, with my diagnosis of celiac disease in the summer of 2010.

I share a little of everything on my blog, My Gluten-Free Kitchen, from breads and muffins to Crock-pot meals to decadent chocolate desserts. My family does not need to be dairy-free, so many of my recipes do have dairy ingredients. However, I do note which recipes are dairy-free or can be adapted easily.

Sarah asked me to share some of my favorite recipes with you all today, so I picked four dairy-free posts to highlight. I was thinking about 4 of the foods that people say they miss when they go gluten-free: snacks, chicken noodle soup, dinner rolls, and snickerdoodles. I’ve got you covered with the perfect gluten-free version of all of these!

frugal gluten and dairy free snack bin ideas

If you are ever stumped for snack ideas for your gluten-free family, check out this post for easy, frugal, and healthy ideas!

busy mom’s gluten free chicken noodle soup

I love using my slow cooker to serve hearty, healthy meals to my family with minimal work. This chicken noodle soup is a family favorite, in fact we just had it this week since my son had a cold.

gluten free pull-apart dinner rolls

It seems everyone missed dinner rolls and thinks that they’ll never have a good one again after they give up gluten. I’ve had many people comment that someone cried when they bit into these amazing rolls because they thought they’d never have a roll this good again. These pull-apart rolls are the most popular recipe on my blog!

gluten free snickerdoodles

When you are ready for dessert, I have many to choose from. Snickerdoodles are an old favorite of many, and so far everyone that has tried these just loves them.

You can find all of my recipes, reviews, and recommendations at My Gluten-Free Kitchen. I’m also active on Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter.
