citrus mimosas

May 3, 2016 by Sarah Leave a Comment

Citrus Mimosas. Cool, refreshing and oh so cheerful with all of that fresh citrus! With Mother’s Day this week, as well as Cinco De Mayo, I thought this would be the perfect time to share a recipe for a fun, new drink! A blend of sparkling white wine, fresh citrus and refreshing orange juice. You’ve got yourself a citrus mimosa. Hard to resist this sparkly cocktail!

If you’ve never made a mimosa before, they couldn’t be easier. It’s basically just two ingredients. Champagne and orange juice. I changed it up a bit with my recipe and used sparkling white wine {my fave is a Moscato}, with the addition of the fresh lemon and lime juice. I’m such a sucker for fresh citrus. It livens up just about any drink.

I hope these refreshing citrus mimosas add a little cheerfulness to your celebrations this week! If you need to make these drinks non-alcoholic, simply use sparkling cider or sparkling water in place of the wine. Cheers, friends!
